The Cincinnati, Ohio Area Electricians’ Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) represents the parties signatory to the Collective Bargaining Agreement for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local 212, and the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA), Cincinnati Chapter. It is comprised of six members; three are representatives for NECA and three are representatives for IBEW.
The JATC is a nonprofit organization. Our mission is to develop and standardize training, and to educate the members of IBEW and NECA, providing the Electrical Construction Industry with the most highly trained and skilled workforce in the Greater Cincinnati Area.
Our curriculum is developed by the National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Commiitee (NJATC). The NJATC was founded over 60 years ago and has developed into perhaps the largest apprenticeship and training program of its kind. Local programs affiliated with the NJATC have trained over 300,000 apprentices to become journeyman with no cost to the taxpayers. Our programs are funded by contributions from contractors.
