Apprentices enrolled in our 5 year Inside Wireman program are also registered as Northwest State students as outlined in our Contract Training Services Agreement. There is no cost to the apprentice for this benefit.

Our Inside curriculum has been evaluated by Northwest State and credits assigned to each year of apprenticeship. Apprentices completing the five year program will earn 59 credit hours. To obtain an Associate of Technical Studies Degree in Construction Electricity, 21 additional credit hours will need to be completed at Northwest State.Online courses are available.

Our Installer/Tech curriculum has also been evaluated. Apprentices completing the Installer/Tech program will earn 35 credit hours for completion of the three year program. Apprentices interested in using these credits towards a degree should contact Northwest State for options.

The JATC Committee will reimburse apprentices and journeymen 1 credit hour (at Northwest State's current cost per credit hour) of each additional class required to obtain the Associate Degree as long as a grade of "C" or better is achieved. Submit a copy of grade card and an Educational Reimbursement form to the JATC office. If you have any question as to whether a class will be reimbursed, contact Kelly at khuber@electricaltc.org
